Properties

Acetanilide is slightly soluble in water, and stable under most conditions. Pure crystals are plate shaped and colourless to white.

Uses

An inhibitor of hydrogen peroxide decomposition, to stabilize cellulose ester varnishes, in the intermediation in rubber accelerator synthesis, etc.
